Ray Day – A day of Sail/Kayak /power boating & beach games, BBQ on sand banks off Chalkwell beach – open to older Scouts, Explorers, Young Leaders and Helpers.  As well as those experienced sailors and kayakers – we also welcome those with no experience who just want to enjoy trip to the sand banks for BBQ and games etc.

Meet : 10am Two Tree Island Slipway (road to the rear of Leigh Station, follow this all the way down to the large car park) – lifts from Southend maybe available if you contact us in advance
When : Sunday 23rd June, 10am to 5pm
Price: £5 including BBQ
What to bring: Wet-gear, warm top, windproof top (even if hot), suntan lotion, suitable footwear (such as old trainers)
Safety: We have qualified lifeguards, kayak instructors, sailing instructors & several safety boats with us
Note : If very windy, the event may move to Benfleet Creek. Cancelled if heavy rain.

How to book: You must book your place by Thursday 13th June (even if you are bringing your own boat)

Scout Summer Badge Weekend 2019

Pioneering Weekend 2019
Jul 13 – Jul 14 all-day

A course for Explorer Scouts (great for young leaders), Network and leaders (counts as ongoing learning). Learn a range of knots and lashings and pioneering projects from beginners through to intermediate. Tuition for mini pioneering. The beginner’s projects are great for getting Scouts started and enjoying pioneering. Includes course material, Saturday lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast and lunch.

13th to 14th July 2019 Open to Scouts, Guides and The Senior Section.

CAB Week 2019
Aug 3 – Aug 10 all-day

A week-long camp with a ’mini-jamboree’ feel. Over 20 activities including Quad Bikes, Archery, Climbing and an optional day out.
It’s A Knockout, incident hike, fancy dress day, disco and more.

3rd to 10th August

Open to Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Network, Brownies, Guides, Rangers
