District Training Advisors
A key role in the adult training programme is that of the Training Advisor. The role is carried out in addition to normal Scouting commitments, with the appointment added to their appointments card.
Training Adviser for Managers and Supporters
Derek Hagan is responsible for supporting and assessing learners in Manager and Supporter roles through their leadership and management training up to the award of the Wood Badge, the training for these rolls is done at national level.
To allow adults in scouting to validate their training in a relaxed setting over a cuppa and biscuits, take a look in the county calendar to find the next date. The training optional you may not need it, validation is essential to gain your woodbadge.
